A president resigns, dozens are dead and injured, thousands more are imprisoned after rioting in Buenos Aires, and the worst may still be ahead for Argentina. It still has the same debts and economic troubles that led to this week's violence, and now, once again, political upheaval at the top. The South American country that was the toast of world economic conferences is in search of a leader, a finance minister and someone, anyone, with the will and wisdom to stop the skid and bring back prosperity. But the blood in the streets and the red on the ledgers aren't just Argentina's fault. Western investors played their part, demanding payback and austerity measures at a time when everyone knew the country was on the brink.
